Matthew McConaughey’s modest modular house is now available for rent. You read that right. We’ve all seen Weathertex work its magic on houses. But this time, Weathertex has a new name and fame thanks to Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey, who developed and launched an eco-friendly cabin in Australia that will eventually be accessible to rent for roughly $150 per night.

McConaughey collaborated with tiny house startup Unyoked to create a sustainable cabin that really is solar-powered and has no wi-fi available; which is truly intended to enjoy life to the fullest.
The actor also included his own personalized touches to the interior, such as vintage magazines, a concealed bar, and a collection of cassettes that can be played on the cabin’s ancient cassette sound system.
The cabin is part of a bigger effort to encourage people to “reconnect with the wild” while simultaneously safeguarding the environment.
Matthew McConaughey, the Academy Award-winning actor, has joined the tiny house trend, and we think it’s all fine and everyone is liking it. The well-known actor has collaborated with Australian travel business Unyoked and Wild Turkey to design The Reserve, a compact, off-grid cottage that runs on solar power.
Its appearance is intended to be as natural as possible. Guests should be aware that there is no Wi-Fi access at this residence, so they should be prepared to put their electronics away and spend some time off the grid.
Unyoked, an Australian travel firm, also collaborated on the project, which includes personalized additions recommended by McConaughey, such as a selected book collection with works by Ralph Waldo Emerson and Og Mandino, as well as some of the actor’s favorite music, including songs by Bob Dylan.
“I’ve always been in awe of Australia’s natural beauty. My hope now is that The Reserve by Wild Turkey x Unyoked cabin will inspire Australians to reconnect with nature as an antidote to the frenetic pace of life,” McConaughey added in a statement.
The cabin is now available for reservations. In addition to $1 from purchases of McConaughey’s Wild Turkey Longbranch blend in November and December, a part of the revenues from bookings will be donated to the Association for National Parks & Wildlife.
