    Mumbai (43 PHR)

Located in the heart of Mumbai, 43 PHR stands as one of our most ambitious and iconic projects to date. Designed to seamlessly blend aesthetics with performance, the project features premium Thermo Ash used across the ceiling and Brazilian Walnut for decking. A striking chevron pattern was meticulously executed on the ceiling to mirror the decking layout, creating a cohesive and visually dynamic space.

Given the project’s expansive scale and its direct exposure to the sea, the execution came with significant technical challenges. In the early stages, careful consideration was given to environmental factors such as high wind loads and coastal conditions, ensuring long-term durability and structural integrity.

The result is a bold, refined outdoor environment that not only withstands its surroundings but elevates them—making 43 PHR a true benchmark in contemporary timber applications and one of our most standout achievements.

Questions? About Brazilian Walnut and Thermo Ash

Yes. Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) is extremely dense and naturally resistant to moisture, insects, and decay, making it ideal for decking and external cladding.

It requires minimal maintenance structurally, but oiling is recommended to maintain its rich brown color; otherwise, it weathers to a silver-grey finish.

It depends on sourcing. When certified (e.g., FSC-certified), it can be sustainable, but illegal logging concerns exist, so verified sourcing is critical.

Thermo Ash is ash wood modified through a heat treatment process, improving stability, durability, and resistance to moisture without chemicals.

Yes. The thermal modification enhances resistance to rot and weather, making it suitable for cladding, decking, and façades.

Yes. Like most natural woods, it will gradually turn grey when exposed to UV unless treated with protective oils or coatings.
